I was at church last Sunday and I thought I lost my coin purse. When I went back in the facility (our service was held at a Country Club) to find it, I went to the kitchen area and asked a staff member if they saw it. The male staff member said he would ask another member of the staff who was in the area where church service was held. In the meantime, he asked if I was hungry and I immediately said "Yes." The male staff member came back with a plate full of breakfast food and asked if I wanted something else. Before I could answer, he took my plate away from me and gave me some more food. The whole time I was concerned and telling him that I didn't want him to lose his job because he was serving me food without his co-workers knowing. He told me: "just take it and be blessed." Those words have resonated with me ever since. Virtually a complete stranger was willing to potentially risk his job in order to bless me with food. Isn't GOD amazing? He is ALWAYS there for you when you least expect it.
Another thought: After service THIS Easter Sunday, my Pastor and I usually chat it up and have small talk. Within the conversation, I mentioned my situation regarding gas for my car and he gave me $20 to put towards my tank. I couldn't believe it, but then again, I could, since he is that type of man, a MAN OF GOD. Again, unexpected, but was so grateful to GOD for him doing that for me. Just thought I would share that.
Monica released her new album today called, "NEW LIFE." It features the single : It All Belongs To Me," the second duet with Brandy and the follow-up to the smash hit" The Boy Is Mine." Two other singles, "Until It's Gone" and "Without You" are also featured on the album. I am excited that she is back out there with new music and also has a new life with her hubby, Shannon Brown. I'm very glad and happy that she's happy. I feel as if I have grown up with her since I have known of her music since I was a young girl.
Check out Monica's new release along with the soundtrack to "Think Like A Man" and K'Jon's new album "Moving On" (I haven't heard from him in three years!) here: Music Tuesday.
